Exclusive breastfeeding can increase a child's risk of developing rickets because breast milk alone does not provide adequate levels of vitamin D, a critical ingredient that helps to absorb calcium and build strong bones, the New York Times reports.
The clinical laboratory company LabCorp is offering a new blood test aimed at detecting ovarian cancer at an early and still treatable stage, but the test is being met with concern among many physicians and medical organizations, the New York Times reports.
Latest research into dual-purpose contraceptives and non-hormonal contraception was presented at a major scientific conference in Melbourne. Laureate Professor John Aitken* from the University of Newcastle and Dr Eva Dimitriadis from Prince Henry's Institute of Medical Research addressed the annual scientific conference of the Society for Reproductive Biology (SRB).
Although many women quit smoking during pregnancy to protect their unborn children from the effects of cigarettes, half of them resume the habit within a few months of giving birth. By shedding light on the factors that enable the other half to put down that cigarette for good, a study by researchers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill could lead to programs designed to help women quit and stay quit.
Organizers of the 2008 Breast Cancer Symposium announced the winners of the Symposium Merit Awards. Fourteen physicians-in-training will receive funding to assist with their travel to attend the Symposium, to be held September 5-7 in Washington, DC.

YOU KNOW AS I SIT HERE AND ASK THAT QUESTION IT IS REALLY HARD FOR ME TO ANSWER. I WAS RECENTLY IN A WONDERFUL COURTSHIP WHERE I THOUGHT THAT NOTHING WAS GOING WRONG. WE SPENT THE DAY TOGETHER AND GOT ALONG REAL WELL. BOY WAS I WRONG. LADY'S AND GENTLEMEN LET ME TELL YOU A FEW THINGS THAT I DID WRONG THAT MAYBE IT WILL HELP YOU SAVE THE MAN OR WOMAN THAT YOU LOVE FROM LEAVING....
1. WHEN YOU ARE ALWAYS ASKING" WHATS WRONG?" AND THEY SAY "NOTHING" TAKE IT AS THAT ..
WHEN THEY WANT TO TALK ABOUT THEY WILL DO IT ON THERE TIME..
2. WHEN HE/SHE SAYS "GO AHEAD IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER CHANGE MY PHONE NUMBER"
KEY WORD "GO AHEAD" TRANSLATION "DONT DO IT YOU SHOULD TRUST ME ENOUGH TO NOT CHANGE THE NUMBER"!!
3. DONT LOOK IN HIS/HER CELL PHONE WITHOUT THEM KNOWING . IF YOU WANT TO LOOK IN IT ASK FIRST . TRUELY THIS IS A BIG ONE FOR MEN..
4.REMEMEBER THAT JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL LIFE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS DOESNT MEAN THAT THE CONSTANT NAGGING AND ALWAYS FINDING WAYS TO ASK THE SAME QUESTION INTILL YOU GET THE ANSWER THAT YOU WANT WILL MAKE THEM LEAVE
5. IF YOUR MAN/WOMAN IS A MAMA'S BOY/GIRL WHEN THEY SAY "BABY , I NEED TO BE WITH MY FAMILY RIGHT NOW MY MOM/DAD OR WHOEVER IS DYING " DONT I MEAN DONT SAY " WHAT ABOUT ME!!! IF YOU DO YOU CAN PRETTY MUCH KISS YOUR MAN/WOMAN AND TELL THEM GOOD BYE BECAUSE NOT ONLY WILL THEY LEAN ON OTHER MEN/WOMEN BUT YOU WILL LOSE THEM AND THEY YOU WILL TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHY?
SO LISTEN TO MY ADVICE AND LET THEM DO WHAT THEY FEEL THEY MUST DO TO EASE THERE MIND . MAYBE THEY WERENT THE PERFECT CHILD WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG AND THEY THINK THEY HAVE ALOT TO MAKE UP FOR IN A LITTLE BIT OF TIME. AND WHEN IT IS ALL DONE AND OVER WITH THEY WILL SAY " WOW WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO?"
MAYBE IT WILL BE TO LATE ,MAYBE NOT.. BUT TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS RIGHT!!!
